How to Prepare for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ

By Li Chunmei, South Korea

Editor’s Note:

Some Christians believe “When the Lord returns, He will certainly appear to all of humanity on a cloud in a spiritual body. Any testimony about the Lord’s return as incarnate is false.” The author also held this belief, and so put her guard up when hearing that the Lord has become flesh to appear and work. How did she finally relax her guard and welcome the Lord’s return?

When believing in the Lord in China, I often heard pastors say, “Anyone who testifies that the Lord has returned in the flesh is false. We must be careful lest we be deceived and lose the chance of entering the heavenly kingdom. That’s because the Bible records, ‘You men of Galilee, why stand you gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen Him go into heaven’ (Acts 1:11). The Lord Jesus Said He Will Return as He Went— What Does This Mean?

Jesus Said He Will ReturnGod says, “Jesus left riding on a white cloud—this is fact—but how could He return on a white cloud among men and still be called Jesus? If He really did arrive on a cloud, how would man fail to recognize Him? Would people all over the world not recognize Him? In that case, would Jesus alone not be God? In that case, the image of God would be the appearance of a Jew and would moreover be the same forever. Jesus said that He would arrive as He had departed, but do you know the true meaning of His words? Can it be that He told this group of you? All you know is that He will arrive as He departed, riding on a cloud, but do you know exactly how God Himself does His work? If you were truly able to see, then how are the words that Jesus spoke to be explained? He said: When the Son of man comes in the last days, He Himself will not know, the angels will not know, the messengers in heaven will not know, and all humanity will not know. Only the Father will know, that is, only the Spirit shall know. Continue reading

John 12:47–48 – Verse Meaning – Jesus’ Judgment in the Last Days

Judgment in the Last Days
The Lord Jesus said, “And if any man hear My words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejects Me, and receives not My words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
– John 12:47–48

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

These verses tell us that instead of expressing words to do the work of judgment and purification of the last days, Jesus Christ was incarnated into the world to redeem mankind from sin, so that mankind could avoid being condemned and cursed by the law and enjoy God’s grace and blessings. The Two Incarnations Complete the Significance of the Incarnation

Significance of the Incarnation
Each stage of work done by God has a real significance. When Jesus arrived, He was male, and this time He is female. From this, you can see that God created both male and female for His work and with Him there is no distinction of gender. When His Spirit arrives, He can take on any flesh at will and the flesh represents Him. Be it male or female, both represent God as long as it is His incarnate flesh. If Jesus arrived and appeared as a female, in other words, if the conception by the Holy Spirit was to an infant girl and not a boy, that stage of work would have been completed all the same. If so, this stage of work would have to be completed instead by a male and the work would then be completed all the same. The work done in both stages is significant; no work is repeated or conflicts with each other. At the time of His work, Jesus was called the only Son, which indicates the male gender. Why Did Jesus Christ Only Give Peter the Keys of the Kingdom of Heaven?

By Yang Qing

I Was Confused When Reading the Scriptures

This morning, after the morning prayer, I opened the Bible and read chapter 16, verse 19 of the Gospel of Matthew where the Lord Jesus said to Peter, “And I will give to you the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” When reading the verses, I thought: There were twelve disciples of the Lord Jesus, but why did He give the keys to Peter rather than the others? What did Peter do so that the Lord was so pleased with him? If I can figure these questions out and act according to Peter’s actions, then won’t I also earn the Lord’s praise and in the future enter into the kingdom of heaven? However, I still didn’t make them clear after reading these verses several times and then I had to eat breakfast first and go to work. Continue reading

What Are the Consequences of Just Awaiting the Lord’s Coming on a Cloud?

the Lord is ComingBehold, He comes with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen” (Revelation 1:7).
God says, “I tell you, those who believe in God because of the signs are surely the category that shall be destroyed. Those who are incapable of receiving the words of Jesus who has returned to flesh are surely the progeny of hell, the descendants of the archangel, the category that shall be subjected to everlasting destruction. Many people may not care what I say, but I still want to tell every so-called saint who follows Jesus that, when you see Jesus descend from the heaven upon a white cloud with your own eyes, this will be the public appearance of the Sun of righteousness. Perhaps that will be a time of great excitement for you, yet you should know that the time when you witness Jesus descend from the heaven is also the time when you go down to hell to be punished. How to Understand That God’s Work of the Last Judgment Is to Save Us

Question 19: You testify that in the last days God does His work of judgment in order to completely purify and save man, but after reading the words expressed by Almighty God, I find that some of them condemn and curse man. If God condemns and curses man, isn’t man then to suffer punishment? How can you still say that this kind of judgment purifies and saves mankind?

Answer:

God’s work of judgment in the last days is primarily to make a group of overcomers, a group of people who are of one heart and mind with God. This was preordained by God when He created the world. You could say that God has already made a group of overcomers, that they have all been made through God’s judgment and chastisement, and that they have come out from the tribulations of the cruel persecution of the Chinese Communist Party. To Enter the Kingdom of Heaven, We Must Be Purified

By Wen Ying, Japan

Clouds drifted in the blue sky, while some birds were alighting in a tree near the meeting place, chirping like playing a vivid song. In the meeting place of a house church, preacher Li Xun invited her classmate Yang Min (a co-worker works in another area) to attend the co-worker meeting, and they were talking about the topic of “being saved” and “entering into the kingdom of heaven”…

Li Xun said seriously, “My fellow co-workers, the Bible says, ‘That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes to righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made to salvation’ (Roman 10:9-10). Since the Lord has forgiven our sins, we are no longer sinners! We confess sins and repent according to the teachings of the Lord, and we’ve been saved by His salvation. Continue reading
