How Will Jesus Return to Earth?

By Linlin

At the co-worker meeting many different opinions were voiced.

Wenwen: Recently, many of the brothers and sisters have been exploring a very contentious issue: In the year 2000 the pastors and elders said that the Lord’s return was imminent, but now it’s 2018 and we haven’t seen it happen. But some people are saying that the Lord has in fact already returned, while others say that when the Lord returns everyone will see Him. There are so many different opinions about this. So, how on earth will the Lord return? What do you all think of this issue?

Hu Yue: Regarding the Lord’s return, the Bible very clearly states: “And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory” (Luke 21:27). Continue reading

What Should We Do Now to Be Raptured at the Lord’s Return?

Question: After the fellowship, I know that our understanding of rapture by the Lord is from man’s imagination. It’s seriously against the word of the Lord. So what should we do now to be raptured at His return?

 Bible Study Topics

Answer: The saints expect to be raptured according to the Lord’s words, “I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:2-3). Man uses their imaginations and notions to understand the Lord’s words. They think since the Lord Jesus ascended upon a white cloud, the place He prepares for them must surely be up there as well. So they wait for the Lord Jesus to return and bring them up to heaven. Besides, man tends to value Paul’s words, “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:17). What Is Jesus Christ’s New Name Upon His Second Coming?

Focus on God’s Names: Mystery Series of Jehovah, Jesus and the Almighty: Episode III—Will God Change His Name When He Returns

Through the former two fellowships, many brothers and sisters in the Lord show that never have they known such great significance of God’s names, much less the backgrounds of God’s choice of His names and the desire of God, despite that they have believed in the Lord for years. Moreover, they have never considered that each of God’s names represents one part of the disposition of God and represents the work of God in one age. Now, we’ll continue to fellowship about the truth of God’s name. Before our fellowship, let’s first give some thought to the following: When God came to perform His work of redemption, He changed His name from Jehovah to Jesus. Then will God change His name when He comes again? Continue reading

What Will Be the Signs of Jesus’ Return?

By Lin Hua

In the church, Pastor Zhu who wore a suit and leather shoes was standing at the pulpit, with a Bible in his hand. He preached: “Brothers and sisters, the prophecies of Jesus’ return in the Revelation have basically been fulfilled. We shall be watching and waiting. Now is the time that the Lord comes again, so we must keep our meetings no matter how weak we are.”

with a Bible in his hand

After hearing the words of Pastor Zhu, Sister Wang felt a bit puzzled. She stood up and asked: “Pastor Zhu, you told us long ago that we should be watchful and wait for Jesus’ return. May I ask what sign there will be when the Lord comes back?” “Brothers and sisters,” Pastor Zhu said, “please turn to Matthew 24:30–31, ‘And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Bible Study on Job: Job Blesses the Name of God and Does Not Think of Blessings or Disaster

Job Blesses the Name of God and Does Not Think of Blessings or Disaster

Bible Study on Job

There is a fact which is never referred to in the Scriptures’ stories of Job, which will be our focus today. Although Job had never seen God or heard the words of God with his own ears, God had a place in Job’s heart. And what was Job’s attitude toward God? It was, as previously referred to, “blessed be the name of the LORD.” His blessing of God’s name was unconditional, unqualified, and without reason. We see that Job had given his heart to God, allowing it to be controlled by God; all that he thought, all that he decided, and all that he planned in his heart was laid open to God and not closed off from God. His heart did not stand in opposition to God, and he had never asked God to do anything for him or give him anything, and he did not harbor extravagant desires that he would gain anything from his worship of God. Job did not talk of trades with God, and made no requests or demands of God. Continue reading

God’s Words Are the Water of Life – Matthew 4:4

God’s Words Are the Water of LifeBut he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

– Matthew 4:4

Thoughts on Today’s Bible Verse:

When Satan tempted the Lord Jesus, it asked Jesus to turn stones into bread. After Jesus refuted it with these words, Satan retreated in humiliation. In the past, whenever I read this verse, I just knew that God’s words are the living water for our lives. Even though food can sustain our physical lives, without God’s words, we are feeling more and more empty in our spirits, living without meaning. Later, I read a passage:

“Now, let us analyze this phrase that Satan used: ‘command that these stones be made bread.’ To turn stones into bread—does this mean anything? It has no meaning. Continue reading

Can I Enter the Heavenly Kingdom After My Sins Are Forgiven?

The protagonist has been serving the Lord for many years. He’s always thought that the Lord Jesus has redeemed us from sin, and that as long as we keep preaching and working for the Lord we’ll enter the heavenly kingdom. But some brothers and sisters have a different opinion. They say, “The Bible says no man shall see the Lord without holiness. If we live in the cycle of sinning and confessing, how can we enter the heavenly kingdom?” The protagonist was also puzzled about this. Later, in a co-worker meeting, a co-worker’s fellowship gave him the answer. Please read this essay: The Condition for Entering the Heavenly Kingdom.

By Cao Rui

Every time I recalled that the Lord Jesus was nailed on the cross to redeem us from sin, and that He’ll come back to bring us into the heavenly kingdom, I felt the Lord’s love was so great. Continue reading

The Meaning of Matthew 24:27—Revealing the Prophecy of the Coming of the Son of Man

The Lord Jesus said, “For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even to the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

– Matthew 24:27

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

Jesus Christ’s words tell us that in the last days, He will come as the lightning that comes out of the east and shines even to the west. How will this prophecy be fulfilled? It is said in Revelation, “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches” (Rev 2:7). From this we can see that when Jesus Christ comes again, He will speak the words of the Holy Spirit to the churches. God’s word is the true light, and will be like the lightning that shoots from the East straight to the West. Eastern Lightning is the second coming of Jesus Christ. Continue reading
