Review of The Moment of Change: Analysis of the Six Main Characters in The Moment of Change

By Liu Yang, China

A few days ago, my church member recommended a movie to me, The Moment of Change. I couldn’t help thinking of Paul’s words, “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed” (1 Corinthians 15:52). Does “The Moment of Change” mean that the Lord will change our images when He comes? I was filled with curiosity! This movie, which just proceeds from this concept, depicts different people’s displays in the church in light of this concept. Now let’s take a look at these six key characters in this movie.

Rapture in Peril (2016)

Storyline

Zhao Zhigang is an elder at the Local Church in China. Like many Christians, his greatest hope as a believer in the Lord is to be raptured alive, meet the Lord and rule with Him. In 1999, after the church leader released the message, “In the year 2000 the Lord shall come again, and His believers will be raptured alive,” he was even more excited and enthusiastic than before. Brimming with faith and confidence, he looked to the future with hope and expectation…. However, after the year 2000 came and went, his hope had been all for naught. An unprecedented crisis of faith emerged in his denomination, and he couldn’t help but wonder whether or not he had chosen the right path. Continue reading

What Exactly is Doing the Will of the Heavenly Father?

By Xuesong

Outside the window, the wind was biting cold and a heavy snow was falling. It was already 9 p.m. when Xuesong returned home from spreading the gospel.

His wife quickly warmed up dinner for him. When he was about to eat, his daughter Xiaoyuan also came back after supporting the church. Xuesong hurried to serve her a helping and was ready to have dinner with her. But Xiaoyuan was not in the mood to eat. At the sight of this, Xuesong asked her, “What’s wrong, Xiaoyuan? You look like something’s on your mind.”

She said in puzzlement, “Dad, Mom, I have been thinking about a question lately. When the pastors and elders preach, they always say that if one can spread the gospel more and bear fruits, run, expend and work hard for the Lord, he will enter the heavenly kingdom. Continue reading

How can one be protected in disasters and survive them?

Relevant Words of God:

God created this world, He created this mankind and, moreover, He was the architect of ancient Greek culture and human civilization. Only God consoles this mankind, and only God cares for this mankind night and day. Human development and progress are inseparable from the sovereignty of God, and the history and future of mankind are inextricable from the designs of God. If you are a true Christian, then you will surely believe that the rise and fall of any country or nation occurs according to the designs of God. God alone knows the fate of a country or nation, and God alone controls the course of this mankind. If mankind wishes to have a good fate, if a country wishes to have a good fate, then man must bow down to God in worship, repent and confess before God, or else the fate and destination of man will be an unavoidable catastrophe. The Prayer of the Publican—The Meaning of Luke 18:13–14

And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes to heaven, but smote on his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalts himself shall be abased; and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.

– Luke 18:13–14

Prayer of the Publican

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

Prayer is a means by which Christians commune with God. Only if we pray to God with heart and with honesty can we gain His guidance and establish a normal relationship with Him. Continue reading

Only by Being a Wise Virgin Can We Welcome the Lord

Being a Wise VirginNow the catastrophe has begun to come down. At the critical moment of welcoming the Lord’s return, only by being a wise virgin can we welcome the Lord and go to the feast with Him. So how can we be a wise virgin?

Revelation prophesies, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” (Revelation 3:20).

God’s word says, “Wherever God appears, there the truth is expressed, and there the voice of God will be. Only those who can accept the truth will be able to hear the voice of God, and only such people are qualified to witness the appearance of God.Continue reading

What Is the True Meaning of Forgiveness of Sin?

By Qiao Ning

The greatest longing for those of us who believe in the Lord is to enter the heavenly kingdom, and so we often imagine how beautiful it must be there. Of course, we are also confident about our entry into heaven, for it says in the Bible: “In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins” (Colossians 1:14). We therefore believe that our sins are forgiven after we have faith in the Lord, and that we are then no longer sinful. We also believe that, when the Lord comes, we will immediately be raised up into the heavenly kingdom. Thinking of these things gets us very excited, and we long for the Lord to hurry to us. This is what I longed for before too. But later, after fellowshiping and discussing this matter with my brothers and sisters, I came to a new discovery, and here I’d like to fellowship what I gained with you all … Continue reading

Praise Song “God Descends With Judgment”

God Descends With Judgment

While coming down to the nation of the great red dragon,
God turns to face the universe and it starts shaking.
Is there any place that doesn’t face His judgment?
Or live in the scourge that He unleashes?
Everywhere He goes He scatters seeds of disaster,
but through it gives salvation and shows His love.
God wishes to make more people know Him,
see Him and then revere Him.
They’ve not seen Him for so long, but now He’s so real. Continue reading

What Does God Imply Us in Amos 8:11 by Mentioning the Church’s Desolation in the Last Days?

By Qiulin

Editor’s Note: Do you know why the faith of many believers has grown cold and why they cannot feel the presence of God when praying? It is because the spiritual famine that Amos 8:11 prophesies in the Bible appears. Are you eager to know what we should do to end the spiritual famine? A gust of autumn wind blew through, sweeping up the fallen leaves in the yard. Sitting by the window, I frowned and pondered over these verses, “Behold, the days come … that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of Jehovah” (Amos 8:11), and “And also I have withheld the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain on one city, and caused it not to rain on another city: one piece was rained on, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered” (Amos 4:7).
