
The Lord Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27).
When the Lord appeared and did the work, the Samaritan woman in the beginning just called the Lord Sir when she saw His ordinary appearance; only after the Lord Jesus spoke out her innermost secrets during their conversation did she recognize the Lord Jesus as the promised Messiah from the Lord’s words.
Philip said to Nathanael: “We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” Nathanael didn’t believe it and said: “Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth?” But when he personally met with the Lord Jesus, the Lord said to him: “Before that Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.” Nathanael recognized the Lord as the Son of God from the Lord’s words.
